The Current Situation
Still in the States, But Not For Long!
We are currently based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, but the Reforestation Mission begins at the end of 2026!
The Next Steps
Once We're There, the Forest must be Revived!
Once a proper boundary like a living/dead hedge or a deer fence is in place, the temperate rainforest will have a chance to bloom once again.

This is a lifelong mission for me and my wife, and we will use this opportunity to share with the world the majesty & beauty of nature allowed to be wild.

This may sound far-fetched or fanciful to those who haven't heard our story, but this is a real and necessary mission. We are seeking to make the world a greener and more positive place however we can, and Connacht is where we can do the best for ourselves and our community.

Our Impact
Nature deserves to flourish everywhere, but we are focusing ourselves on Sligo to make a real change!
By moving to Sligo and bringing back a fragment of nascent rainforest, we will be able to respect the legacy of the O'Haras who preceded me, and guarantee access to a beautiful and untapped sanctuary of nature for our progeny and the people of Sligo and the world at large. This mission will begin with the rewilding of 10-15 acres of land in central Sligo, and will eventually become a sort of nature park to draw attention to the sublime beauty of Irish rainforests. Rewilding is the future, and I want to do my part to make this part of the world even a small amount greener. This is a situation where individual contributions can make a world of difference. When all else feels bleak in the world, let this be a beacon of hope and positivity.

Every dollar and word of encouragement counts and helps us to create a space where humans and animals and the flora can all thrive. This is worth fighting for.

Starting with Rewilding, Ending with a Whole New World
This is the first step in a massive undertaking, an effort to draw real attention to rewilding as an effective tool for biodiversity preservation. This will help us as humans, and will help the planet. Even if it's a small patch of land! Ireland can be at the forefront of reforestation in Europe and the world, and we want to help usher in that new era!

The rolling hills and patchwork of fields of Ireland are beautiful, but are fraught with the scars of colonialism and deforestation. Great tracts of forest, cleared in the name of English exploitation.

This is what Ireland and the world at large is meant to look like. And this is what we'll spend the rest of our lives working towards! Only healthy ecosystems can withstand the trials posed by climate change. And that's worth fighting for.
